Fire Pit of Shame
I just threw the most shamefully unattended bonfire of all time. Julie and I invited friends from high school and a few folks I know from the bar and whatnot. FOUR PEOPLE CAME. Kudos to those four for sticking it out as long as they did. I would feel bad, but it was so ridiculous that all we could do once the crowd cleared was laugh at ourselves uproariously.

A BONFIRE? Where? Remember that bonfire we went to last year where everyone was burning stuff like love letters from their ex-partners and dissertations and whatnot?
Shameful? Hardly. The food was AMAZING.. the company delightful.. and I for one haven't enjoyed a bonfire like that in some time.
Who knew you are such a talented cook!
Kudos to you.. and thanks for a lovely evenining...

KC, that bonfire was great! Such a wonderful idea, instant conversation starter, instant friendship starter, really. The bonfire was in Celeste's back yard. I am fairly confident the low attendance was due to it being a Sunday night. Sure bet people didn't come, our little tribe of high school friends all had stuff they had to take care of, then the girls that i inivited from the bar just didn't make it. It was just funny, really, I think that before when I would tell people I don't have any friends in town they really didn't understand what that meant. So, for clarification, it means I have NO friends in town. Possibly this is because I am an asshole (see previous post).
What am I chopped liver? No friends?? Baaaahhhh! ( no I'm not a sheep.. or .. sheepish for that matter! )
